Common questions
How do I restore my subscription?
Open Profile ▸ Support ▸ Restore purchases while signed in with the Apple ID you subscribed with.
How do I cancel?
Apple manages subscriptions. On your iPhone, open Settings ▸ your name ▸ Subscriptions ▸ Chub, or open your subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. Refunds are handled by Apple.
Where are my chats saved?
Only on your device. Chub has no accounts, so we can't see, restore or move your chats, and deleting the app deletes them.
How do I delete a chat?
In Chats, swipe left on the chat and tap Delete. To start a chat over instead, open it and choose Restart chat from the menu.
Who writes the replies?
An AI model. Replies can be wrong or unexpected, and characters aren't real people. You can turn AI replies off in Profile ▸ Privacy & safety; the app then asks before sending anything. Our Privacy Policy explains what is sent.
How do I report, hide or block something?
Use Report in a character's ••• menu, or press and hold a reply and choose Report. The same character menu can hide the character or block its creator. You can undo both in Profile ▸ Privacy & safety.
What about mature content?
Chub is for adults 18 and over. Mature characters stay hidden until you turn on Profile ▸ Content ▸ Show mature (18+) and confirm that you're an adult.
